In December 2004, Jartu T Bestman founded our organization, leveraging her experiences as a teenager at the First Baptist Church Congo Town, where she benefited from Christmas charitable distributions. Her passion for philanthropy, love, and positive impact drove her to assist those in need after relocating to the United States. Initially, she collected and sent clothing, shoes, and other essentials to Africa annually. Our organization operated as a community entity in Montserrado County and rural Liberia, collaborating with churches, orphanages, schools for the blind, elderly, and disabled individuals to provide basic necessities. In response to the growing needs of Liberian youth and adolescents, Aiding Hearts Inc. was officially registered as a nonprofit on December 27, 2023, expanding its reach and support. The organization is registered in both the United States and Liberia, West Africa, with plans for further expansion throughout Africa.
